MoCCA 2008 Report
Saturday was a financial disaster, but Amy (akaspasmsproject, aka Emily's mother) arrived with our daughter... and she was thrilled to be there! I was so worried that Emily would hate the crowd and want to leave immediately, but she was smiling and jumping up and down! I took her around the three rooms (and up the elevator to the 7th floor) introducing her to friendly faces, buying their new books along the way, and Emily was very polite and said hi to everyone! After the show, I convinced my tablechums Joe Meyer (aka mister_f) and Jason Marcy (aka jaymarcy) to eat at an Indian restaurant for dinner... MY FAVORITE FOOD!!! So, sales were pitiful, but I got to spend time with some of my favorite people, buy comics, and eat. It almost makes the $108 I owe Joe for the table worth it! ha ha ha
Sunday was spent mowing the lawn, doing the laundry, grocery shopping, biking to the health food store, driving in a storm, and helping my grandmother. I'll do MoCCA both days next year if I finally have some books with full-color covers and spines!!!!!!!!
